Hi to all RR friends,

recently bought a RR SC 2008 and when driving with the AC and radio off to listen to the engine. what i could hear it was a humming noise coming from the front of the car, sounded like it was coming from the wheel/ brakes area. Dont think its an engine problem and i only hear it at low speeds. Maybe its the diff. locks b/se i hear that these are faulty ?? any ideas what it could be?

cheers.

Doesnt sounds like the supercharged.I am not an expert but looks to me is coming from the wheels .is there a possibility that its the diff. Lock?.

Tyres / road noise? How do you mean diff lock? You don't have diff locks on the axles (as far as I know), only the centre viscous coupling. Even if that was knackered, you wouldn't get the symptoms you're describing. Does it increase in pitch with either an increase in speed or increase in engine revs?

The noise remains constant no matter the speed or engine revs.I can only hear it at low speeds however b/se at higher I hear the engine music!!!! Sorry man I can help more b/se it is hard to describe.maybe its nothing and is only my idea.... I will check with my dealer in the next service in 1000 miles.thanks
