If it won't fire off Easystart it has a very serious mechanical problem. But the Easystart must be put directly into the manifold by removing the turbo pipe from it. Not through the air cleaner pipe.

Do you mean the one at the right hand side of the intercooler going into the alloy casing feeding the 6 ports? will give this one more try

The manifold is bolted to the head with 6 pipes into a common chamber either alloy or plastic depending on year, at the front of this there will be a flexible pipe connecting to the intercooler, remove this pipe at the engine end, get someone to crank the engine while you spray easy start into the opening of the bit on the engine.
If it fails to fire, you have a major mechanical problem, if it fires but does not continue to run then you have a fueling problem, tank pump, filter, FIP, stop solenoid or a sync problem.
If it runs do not rev it as the turbo is disconnected.

Hi, right i have just tried the easy start and no alter in the way it was turning over didn't splutter cough anything

So, if you sprayed it in the right hole, the next step is a compression test and/or check the cam timing.
If it failed to fire on easy start, you can ignore electronics, FIP etc for the moment, all it needs to fire on easy start is cranking, compression and valve timing.

right update, i wasnt happy with the crank speed so put a different battery on her and she is cranking a lot faster and trying to fire, so i dropped the fuel filter and this is what came out, does'nt smell to much of diesel smells a bit of oil or something

Whatever that is is should still fire on easy start, although cranking speed is also important.right update, i wasnt happy with the crank speed so put a different battery on her and she is cranking a lot faster and trying to fire, so i dropped the fuel filter and this is what came out, does'nt smell to much of diesel smells a bit of oil or something
Looks like it may have been run on black diesel which is basically old engine oil mixed with diesel, either that or it's bacterial growth in the fuel tank.

Hi thanks, she is trying to fire now, so i have dropped the fuel tank and i am going to empty it tomo and get a new filter and flush the system thru and try again from there

If it's trying to fire on that stuff, where were you putting the easy start because it should fire on that if the cranking speed is good regardless of the state of the fuel supply?

Try unplugging the crank sensor and see if she fires up. Should idle but not rev up.

Errr....
You try unplugging your Crank Sensor and see what happens....
The Diesel EDC uses the Crankposition and the No4 Injector to time the injection pulses....
Without a Crank Signal the EDC doesn't know if the engine is turning over and as such won't inject the Diesel......

ive had the same problem recently turned out to be a blocked cat original exhaust 160,000 miles, loosen exhaust at the turbo to see if it will run.

....OK revise to say....The output from the Crank sensor sensor is also used, in conjunction with the start of injection sensor, to determine and control ignition timing.
The ECM uses the input signals from the start of injection sensor, together with signals from the crankshaft position sensor, to detect the actual start of injection angle. The detected actual value is adjusted by the ECM to a nominal value via the injection timing solenoid.
As it does in RAVE....
