I would like to thank those of you out there who wave and flash the lights of their Landies as we pass by.... This site is amongst others part of the fraternity of this unique marque..a brotherhood/sisterhood!!
In recent years the anti 4x4 groups have slurred us, the owners of probably the greatest marque of vehicles to grace the road, track, jungle, desert, arctic or ant -arctic wastes..It is without doubt time to turn the slurrs back . Land rover should listen to us the owners whose illness or bug we pass to friends family and partners..(My wife was brainwashed to buy a freelander our children will start to work on a lightweight).
Our vehicles have a unique eco friendly honour..80% of all vehicles are still in use since 1947..Also giving access to the country for less able persons. They are tradionally used to bring famine relief to the poorest regions of the globe..
Now in the UK fuel prices mean we look ourselves to LPG or bio-diesel to run our vehicles some earning a livelyhood for us.. Why have the powers that be at Land Rover not taken the bull by the horn, actively and publicly start to turn the hysteria of the lobby groups. The range of vehicles could have LPG conversions fitted and diesel vehicles be ready from the factory for the bio fuel fill ups.. Advertising agencies could then publicise the above and sales would continue to rise.. Sounds simple.. Generally the best ideas are simple ..Maurice Wilkes had a simple idea after the Second World War and that became a legend..
On this site we the owners and users now have a chance to get our knowledge pulled and help each other.. Keep the stories and tests of your Eco friendly fuels coming in. Then we can spread the word to the eco Facists who threaten our rights of freedom. God bless, be safe and keep the force strong.
