Hi guys the injectors in my 2006 td4 manual are 0445110049 what I want to know is has anyone fitted 0445110030 from a rover 75? some people say yes and some say no but has anyone actually fitted any and had any issues? Im asking as ive done 150.000 on mine and they need changing and I can get a reconditioned set from a 75 half the price of the landrover one's...just had the hp pump reconditioned + fitted last month(as was leaking) £550 so not wanting to spend the earth :) its still on the original dmf+clutch so looking forward to that in the near future lol.

I have tried this, with a mix of the 2 types the engine does run and the car does drive but IMO the car didn't feel right, a tiny bit sluggish. With all 030s or all 0049s it felt more normal. Could have just been in my head the sluggishness however!

Cylinders 1 & 2 were leaking back twice as much as the other 2 and there was a rattle/ diesel knock so i put a couple of 030's as i could'nt get any 049's from the scrappy at the time and it sorted the knocking/rattle out but its a little sluggish especially setting off unless you give it more revs first thats why i asked about a full set of them if it would run smoother...but speaking to the tech at eds in norwich he says that the 030's would run in the freelander it wouldnt run 100% as the spray patern is very different so you would get poor mpg, poor perfomance or over fueling he can do a set of 030's for £150 for 4 injectors i asked why so cheap he said we have over a 100 on the self and need to get rid of most of them as they are not great sellers as there only for the rover 75...he said he can do a set of 049's with new nozzels, stripped, cleaned, rebuilt and tested on a rig + 12 months warranty for £410 for 4 injectors so i think i might go for the 049's seeing as it's had a recon hp pump and new bosch maff so it should run sweet until somthing else falls of it lol

Interesting to have conformation of my findings! I did look at swapping the nozzles but they are also slightly internally different.

Hi guys. Just want to ask this .can you just change the nozzles on the injecters?.fit new 1s ?
As there are no moving parts in the injecters. Am I right to think the nozzles are the parts that were out ??
Regards Garry
