which hippoo yu got?

well at the moment its a 1.8 k series but i'm attempting to put a rover L series in it.

every time i get something sorted someone tells me different

so the ecu i have is the one off the rover L series which is the same plug as the petrol one.

dean

If you're fitting the L series engine, you'll need the ecu and wiring from the L series, I would think the rover and landrover ecu's would be the same, they're all rover after all, plugs might be the same but make sure all the pins are in the right places.

just found out that rovers used bosch edc sm007 ecu's from 95 on and freebies used them upto 2001 so should be the same

i have the rover engine, loom, alarm control unit and fobs so heres hoping lol

i am assuming that all the bosch ecu's will be the same from factory and programmed by rover/landrover for the bits to make it compatable with all working on their cars

any ideas on that???

chhers dean

Deano,
Me local non-franchise landy bods know of two bods now who've bought rover diseasels and done engine swops on early fl's. The bits are mostly the same bar the badging. I'm running an ex-820d fuel pump on me xedi, as the Landy bit was gonna be shedloads....;)

help

i'm getting emails saying thgat the post has been replied to but when i look it hasnt????

any ideas folks??

Bandit,
I'm just on the north side of Rutland water if that's any good. Me ECU is bog standard, me only bit ex rover so far is the fuel pump, and me landy is a '98 R Xedi. The Bods I'm talking about are 'Footloose 4X4' in peterborough, 01780 784781 for info, tho Nene Overland, again in peterborough may also be worth a bell, though I don't have their number to hand. Give Mad hat Man a pm, he may be able to popst the relevant piccy out the RAVE disc if he's about.

You there Hatters?

Regards,
