i have just picked up a csw roof and sides for my 90 the thing is it is the older type roof with the ridges in. what do people think about this roof? it seems stronger than my flat roof but im un sure weather or not to stick with my flat roof and just fit the sides:confused:

If it matches the age of your 90, go for it. Its a personal taste thing. As far as strenght goes, the flat roof's have the ribs on the inside so I'd say they are both as strong as each other.

They are just strengthened. Some had them, some didn't I like the look and actually want one. My mates has it and he has strengtheners behind his doors as well, which I've never seen before.

they are'nt as strong my original roof on my 87 90 was outer ribbed i bought a smooth roof and that used to flex and pop at speed (sounded like ralph harris playing it at 70) :D

the roof i have picked up is from an 1987 and mine is a 1990 im still not sure about the ridges but then i have never had a problem with my flat roof flexing. i surpose i will just have to think about which one i prefer the look of :)

I'm a fan of the older ribbed ones, but then I have never owned a newer smooth one. Its purely that it looks like LR with the ribs!

are they the bits that run straight up the front of the side pannel ?
