roof rack

Hi everyone bit of a weird one. ive got a discovery 2 td5 with 2 inch lift winch bumper ect. does anyone have any ideas how much fitting a roof rack would effect fuel economy and if their is any other drawbacks. Thanks Dan

depends how fast you usually drive. It knocks 4-6mpg off my Defender, but i stick to 65 on the motorway. If you do over 70 expect a massive drop with mpg around 20. Ours works TD5 defenders with galvy roofracks return about this with motorway driving.

According the the AA 2% to 3% increase in fuel consumption and wind noise
