can anyone recommend a good source for a large roof rack cage? Budget up to £200

It would look better if you removed your rails and made some mounts to fix the rack to the rail attachment points. Thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking. The mounts supplied would not without gutters, but the width with span my rails and I can fix with u bolts.
The G4 Challenge rack mounts to the standard roof bar mount points. I'm sure it has more mounts at the rear, but are well hidden once it's fitted. Thanks Guys, I think making my own will be the way to go. I agree the current bars are not sufficient support for a full rack and would look odd.
teddywood1 do you have a pic f your bespoke rack and how it's mounted to the roof? Did you have to add additional mount points to the rear?
I admire anyone who can turn their hand to making a good roof rack - but the ones like that G4 which follow the roof contours of the Freelander are the dog's whatzits
There's a fella I'm friends with on Faceache built himself one for his L Series that follows the roof contours - its looks bloody good.
