It also removes any worries about forgetting they're up there. Lots of car parks with a metal chain/bar to stop anything high going in. Not quite the same but, many years ago, I broke the antenna on my Dad's Volvo , by driving into one of those car parks. Forgot the antenna came out quite high.
I did that. I had an L322 for two weeks and took the roof nearly off driving into the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. We had to let all the air from the tyres and have 8 people sitting in the car to get it free, I was in tears.+1

I almost got caught at one of the hospitals, can't remember which one, just know it was one of the private ones. I was directed to the covered car park, drove towards it, and then thought 'ehhh maybe not'. It must've been only a couple of inches too low and I'm sure they'll have caught out others.

Still got the key issue. She's booked in for middle of May, to sort the issues they didn't sort last year, fix the trim they didn't put back properly, and look at a couple of other things. Oh and find out why the stereo isn't going to sleep. Other than that the Golden Girl is doing ok. She's still getting admiring looks and comments at 19yrs old! Can't be bad
