My son has just bought a defender 90 tdi his first landrover belt on front of engine come off aa said its water pump grooved belt bearing top right hand side of engine needs new pump having difficulty in identifying pump and belt

cant be difficult to google 300tdi water pump
 
If in doubt, give engine / chassis numbers to a dealer and they will be able to identify the number you need (I assume it is original fit and not a retro-fit as if so chassis-number is no use whatsoever?).
