Rocker cover leak - temp fix?

I replaced the rocker cover gasket a couple of days ago but have now noticed there is oil leaking along parts of its length...

Could I run a bead of RTV or similar along it as a temporary fix/ seal?

Am hoping I don't have a distorted cover. Was torqued up correctly though....

Any thoughts on the silicone?

yes but remove cover then refit after applying sealant

Just a smear or a decent bead?
