Yeah he's patient Chris, he's had my diff on the shelf for months :(

Just don't tell him you're a friend of mine he'll run a mile :D

No in all fairness he's a great bloke, mad as a hatter but a superb guy, I've worked with him and stuff and he's all round top.

And urm yeah Robb, you need correcting!

The adrenalin ones look well priced!

You waiting on him or is he waiting on you lol.

So if I wanted tw ARB diff I got from you pegged it would be £60?
You said other upgrades are available for it, could you give me an idea?
Just don't wanna sound like an utter moron when I call him.

Yea had it back down on wheels today and the seat looks well out. Shock also not going straight through the springs. :(

Will have a look at the adrenalin ones as they look smart I reckon.
Although I still like the QT ones too. desicions, desicions. :)

They look bloody lonely!

Great, something else I'm gonna have to buy.
Who do I need to speak to about them again? :D

Haha! :D

They do look lovely will almost be a shame to get them muddy when I take her out for the first time. :(
Speak to Dave @llama4x4 if you want a set made. He's a great guy and very helpful. He'll talk you through all your options etc then go from there pretty much. :) Mostly depends on how you want to run the lines.

If its not a rude question. How much of my hard earned pennies do I need to spend to get that sort of brake set up?

Not rude at all. :)

I spent a shade under £240 on this set up. That includes VAT. And is exactly as and how I want it. Think it was £198 before VAT. This does include a spare corner too. ;)
All 4 corners are exactly the same so only need one spare.

Definitely worth it though and as another positive (on top of being sexy as fook) will never suffer with rusted up brake unions ever again! :D

Love those brake lines, very nice!

Do you think they'll give an improvement to the braking performance & pedal feel? Interested to see your thoughts once all installed & bled.

Thanks! :)

Should see a decent improvement over the standard set up for sure. Especially over the non braided flexi set up.

But yea will definitely come back and post up how they are performance wise. Ease of fitting is an absolute doddle. Would recommend this to anyone!

I have a little more installed than just that but still needs clipping up, tidying, and put out of harms way. Should hopefully get the install of the lines almost finished tomorrow. Then need new front discs and pads too. (yet to be ordered)

The only bad thing is I still have a bit of welding and other bits to finish so will probably be another month or so before MOT time/taking it out and getting it muddy. :(

Brake lines are fully installed. :D

Put some crappy front calipers I have on and some old discs just for ease of shunting it around my drive. And couldn't resist having a play.:p:D

The new suspension works a treat. :D

Oh and I suppose a brake line photo might help. :p

Still need to clip the front lines up properly so will take a photo of them once done. :)

Cheers :D

Hey all. :)

Finally have an update for you.

Been working too many hours, sorting out a new job, had my daily car wrote off by some twunt ramming it up the ass end, and trying to keep the her indoors happy. so haven't had much time to work on the disco. :(

This update is nothing majorly interesting but thought I'd share anyway. :)

So as my daily has been wrote off I really need to get on and get the disco sorted now. As it will now be my only vehicle and I hate not being able to drive anywhere.
Mainly been sorting out rust ready for MOT. Seem to have most of it done now thank feck. Just another patch to do on the n/s footwell and general tidying up and I can book the test. :D

Anyway started off by getting the wing off as one rust hole would've been impossible to get at otherwise. Found a couple more after taking the stupid plastic mudshield thingy off too which won't be going back on!

And the holes to patch.

Now because I get carried away and I'm kind of in a rush to finish it I forgot to take pictures of during.
But do have a picture of it finished. Been welded, primed, seam sealed, and painted.
Not bad for a long afternoons work :D

Will take the wing off the n/s also just to check for rust and preventative reasons more than anything.

Cheers :)

Glad to see an update, had nothing to watch lol.
New lines look great as does the welding repairs mate.

Lol. Sorry:eek: hoping to be able to update a bit more over the next weekend two. :)

Hoping to get some new wheels/tyres for it once the insurance pays out for my car. Will keep the A/T's for roadwork as im going for insa special tracks. :)

And yea they do :D well worth spending the moolah on for sure. Apart from the front calipers which will be replaced in the coming months that's the brake department sorted.

The welding int too bad. Trying to weld disco body work is never fun. but should see the wings last a few more years until I replace them completely. :)

Hello.

Not a great deal done today. Rain and sleep after a night shift stopped work being done. :(

Anyway managed to get the n/s wing off and got it rust treated. This is before I started slapping on the fertan.

I have all the patches cut out and shaped ready to weld in tomorrow. Fortunately there is only 3 to do on this side unlike the 7 patches on the o/s. Will try and get some decent photos if I remember.

Then that's the front end pretty much sorted. For now. Until I start fitting mods anyway.

Also whilst I was waiting for rust treatment to work got the paint out and painted my chequer plate door card and the rear bumper. Also slapped a bit on the tow bar although it will be coming off for a removable one.

Also going to get the dickie seats ripped out over the weekend in preparation for getting some marine ply and boarding of the back for some kind of storage.

Should get some more bits and bobs done over the weekend in preparation for MOT.

Also Currently deciding if I should paint it. Not really that keen on the silver.
So it's either going olive drab or g4 orange? Not sure? Thoughts? :D

Hello.

Bit more done today. Got the patches on the n/s wing welded in. Primed the lot. Seam sealed everything then gave it all a topcoat. :)

Primed.

And top coat on :)

Even ripped all the wiring out the way on the inside to give it a paint. :)

Other than tidying up the interior for MOT and other finishing touches like sorting out my clicking headlights there really isn't much I can do now unless I spend some money which I don't have. :( Skint in between two jobs.

Oh and I need a new serp belt and tensioner. The bearing has gone on this one. And maybe give the engine a service.

Next job I know I can do is get the headlining out a pull it off as it's knackered. Will also sort out any leaks (I know I have a couple) Then get some more high temperature glue and redo the headlining with some black faux suede I have lying about :D

Once I start me new job and have some money coming in again I can start buying/making some new mods :)

Cheers :)

Great job your doing here mate :) . Regarding the serpentine belt tensioner, you could just change the bearing yourself to save some extra money
