when i were a lad i used to go deliver coal wiv my dad...
toward the end of the popularity of coal twas mainly out of the way places that still used coal cos they couldnt get gas...
i remember one place in halifax where we used to go once a year and have to take a saw to trim trees to get the wagon down there...
was chattin to mi pop this mornin and he reminded me of this, so off i went to see if i could find it again...
entered from one end and got bout half way and it turned into a single footpath very overgrown.. so i drove to the other end and that was still wide enough for a car... but would obviously be blocked at some point futher down..
there were no tyre tracks and a footpath sign showing calderdale way continuation...
however its still shown as a road on google maps....
can it be opened again? whose responsibility is maintainance?
if any one wants to see the map pm me and i'll send ya a google map link...
