Been looking at snap tool to refit bonnet frame, can't find any info on how too use them don't really want to use pop rivets any info would be a big help

Use the inverted dome tool on the outside, insert the rivet into a countersunk hole( all sides of holes - gives more grip) then using a small hammer on the protuding section work in circular motion to peen it fully down, once tight heat anneal as it will crack in use without doing that

it does take a lot of practice to get them right and a fair amount of force against the blow of the hammer - try before commiting to the correct fitment on the bonnet, the last body I made took over 1,500 snap rivets !!

thanks I assumed that was the method, didn't realise about the annealing bit.

I did the bonnet on mine, I actually took the frame out to save weight and like you didn't want pop rivets. It was a straight forward job the hardest part was holding the bonnet and reaching both sides, I put the snap in the vice pointing up and rested the bonnet on it then hammered the inside. The snap and rivets were of ebay.
