The last service report from my INDIE about 6 months ago said all 4 bags were cracked/cracking and he expected them to fail soon (originals and 20 years old, so fair-do's). It went in for replacement of all 4 for new Dunlop bags today.

I got a call mid-afternoon apologising that it would not be ready today as the rears were replaced fine but the new fronts were not able to be fitted because the fittings were out of position by 45 degrees.
Replacements are expected to be arriving tomorrow.
I thought "out by 45-degrees? Have they tried to put the left front in the right and vice-versa?

NVM, its a fixed-price job. I don't care as long as it gets done...eventually. :)

Sounds like it. Doesn't inspire confidence.

Got the car back ok all the bags changed, and the gear selection linkage adjusted and a loose connector found on the gearbox.
Apparently their supplier checked the rest of their front air-spring stock and found a total of seven with the same misalignment fault.

All sorted and working a real treat. :D
