If all goes well I'm gonna do the cambelt weekend or next week so what do I need. I've got a cambelt and that's all.
Was thinking to do water pump and flush rad etc out while I'm at it.

Btw, wtf us that growth on the front axle near he steering damper, not inspected it yet as it's all oiley.
Ta :)

you'll need cambelt tensioner and idler (and gaskets, timing case and front crankshaft oil seals)
the growth is a 'harmonic damper'
did you get yer handbrake adjusted?

Looking at handbrake tomorrw with luck. Will report back if I find the nut. Is the harmonic thing owt ta do with the radio as it keeps goin off:D

would that be the torque converter you mean !!!!!

hwo did the disco perform on you journey last weekend then ??

Journey went brilliant ta, 32 mpg and ran like a dream, didn't know I had a car on the trailer, top gear Warrington to Brizzle 50/55 all the way and the heater was burnin hot and rad cool.
Would have prfered to go in the V8 but Disco was great.:)

have a look here, onna rangie but same thing. some grumpy buggers with the info.:D

depends if you earthed yer radio to it:D

Looks like it's a harmonic steering damper ffs then but how does it work?.. I'll work it out tomorrow..best not ask too much for fear of upsetting the 'do a search' men.
Cant be bothered doin a search when it comes up with 1887 pages with the word What's in them and 2965 pages with the word front and 9637 pages with the word axle :D
Much rather talk to someone or I'd just be searchin all the time without the banter eh

:doh:knew i'd forgotten something
:search::D

dunno how it works somethin about it vibratin at a frequency that cancels out the natural noise of the axle.

Knew it was to do with sound,
Gonna have a go at things starting tomorrow and use the V8 for a bit as there's plenty of gas in it and the weather has warmed up over here, prob still snowin over the posh end.
Good chance to have a look at the 110 heater, might as well by pass it and take it out for a look, prob full of mud from the previous owner, there was a tide mark of mud near the top of the seat boxes when I picked it up that wasn't there when I bought it but, hey ho, it's a V8:)
