Revs when cold

hi all
When I start my freelander 2 2011 td4 gs from cold when I start to rev the engine it starts to struggle when it gets to around 1600 revs hesitates could be miss firing till it gets to 2200 revs then it seems fine when the freelander is warm it runs like a dream any one got any ideas
