Reversing Sensors

Hi folk, the owner of my first Disco as from today.

Now the reversing sensors make no noise when selected.
I know one of the sensors is done. I went to my local landrover sensor, the guy replaced the one which was knackered and no noise.

They are all ticking but not making noise. The switch is in the right position on the dash,

Any ideas ? The mechanic said he would have expected some noise to say that they are faulty.

Did he check the souner unit. Located in the rear left hand boot panel ? They can get pretty mucky.

No I don't think so. I found it as you described. I will get someone to check it out to see if it faulty. I do remember on the test drive it made a faint noise but then nothing since. Thanks and that was easy to locate.

Hay presto, they are fixed. Thanks for telling me about the sound sensor. I sprayed the box with some switch cleaner, popped in a new reversing sensor and they now work.

UP DATE ...........

They stopped working last night, bought a new sounder £16 inc VAT Perfect .

@NIRover I have not had any luck finding a sounder...I have tried everywhere. Can you tell me where you got yours?

I got mine from Charles Hurst Land Rover, Boucher Road, Belfast.

I would think any main Land Rover dealer should have one. For the price to have them working is great.
