Hi guys

About fity percent of the time, when I put it into reverse, my Disco 2 TD5 (my04) gives a constant beep instead of intermittent beeps. Sometimes putting the car into reverse a second time clears the problem, sometimes it doesn't.

I've cleaned the sensors but that's made no difference.

Any thoughts?

Thanks as always.

Check the wiring connections for tightness.

As the weather gets colder at night some condensation / dew made work its way into the connectors or switch.

Cheers for that Dippy.

Does anyone know how the system will behave if I disconnect a single sensor during fault-finding? I guess it could do one of the following:

a) interpret the missing sensor as showing zero distance
b) interpret the missing sensor as showing no obstacles, or
c) put the whole system into a fault mode

Thanks as always

Stu
