Hi all, both my mirrors dip when selecting reverse, but when i select drive again the passenger side returns to normal, but the drivers side takes another trip down. any ideas ?
I have the dip feature turned off at the moment, but i would like it back.

Thanks in advance.......:behindsofa:

Mine does similar in that it dips and then stays dipped. I move the mirror back to where I want it and then reset the seat position memory. Seems to fix it!

I believe the place to look is the feedback potentiometer in the mirror mechanism.Might be giving incorrect info to the BECM.
If not that then check all connections for poor mating, corrosion etc.

Mine are the other way round, although it does work occasionally.

I'd love to know how these work. I've found that if I extend my passenger mirror out too far, it actually operates in reverse when auto dipping.

Got a similar problem with my drivers seat. When setting position 1, it just runs the seatback all the way back instead of stopping at my saved position.

Stupid electrics.
