hi anyone know if rover 75 reversing light switch is the same as 2001 td4 or is it my eye sight look very similar
 
I don't know but it most probably is. Early freelanders in particular were more rover than anything else. If I remember rightly rover wheels fit. For some reason they used the stud pattern from rover cars instead of the land rover pattern which is much bigger.

Looking at the parts lists for both the Freelander TD4 and Rover 75, they're different part numbers.

Looking up the part numbers on Rimmer Brothers and comparing the pictures of both parts, the actual switch part and thread look the same, but the electrical connectors are different -


Freelander TD4

Part Number = UMB100100
