Reversing light problem

hi my dads td4 2001 reversing lights have stopped working the rear wiper still works when the front ones are on and reverse is engaged does this rule out the reversing light switch and if so do the two reversing lights have a common earth which could be the problem

Do the brake lights still work? Fuse F2 under the steering wheel covers the brake and reverse lights. Then its a bulb check, have any or both of the filaments gone? It's not unknown for one to go right after the other.
