had a quick search on here for articles about reversing cameras and many seem to be from a few years ago, with the huge decrease in price and the massive choice now i wondered if anyone would recommend any particular set ups,

I have a 110 van with very poor rear visibility, just the wing mirrors, want a wired camera as i've tried a wireless one and found there was too much interference for the camera to work well. Plus its not like running wires from front to back of a defender is an issue.

cue jokes about looking down ladies cleavage and comments about 'not having mirrors'

Surprised you have that much trouble with interference, we have two cameras in our 6.5m drawbar turntable trailer at the back, wired to a transmitter at the front, and 9-10 feet away in the back of the Discovery is a plastic box with the receiver and cabling to the dash monitor.

That gives us nearly 30feet separation before we lose the picture.

If you're only using it for reversing then the guide lines might not be a problem, but we use ours as a rear view mirror, so we changed the cameras to those without guide lines.

Camera on the right is much better than the cheaper one on the left:

maybe it was just the camera we bought, Maplins 70 quid effort, its in my bt50 now and although it doesnt blink as much its still a little random which drives me nuts.. i suppose the old electrics of the defender and the bump and rattle doesnt help..
