I had a problem with my "beloved" P38 4.6 V8 Auto, where it would drive ok, but occasionally it appeared to "struggle" to pull off in 1st no matter how much beans you gave it, and a little bit in 2nd also, other times it was just fine, eventually we lost reverse in a car park and had to call the nice man from the AA who said it was the gearbox,
so I swapped the gearbox and transfer box with a second hand unit of approx 90k and its been fine for a quite a while.
but the wife rang me today, the truck is parked at the top of the drive and when she selected reverse nothing!! it revs, but no reverse again!!
This cant be happening, can it??
Am I just pure unlucky or is there possibly something else I am missing or am I going to be replacing another gearbox? :doh:
