Hi, I've recently bought s 2009 facelift and the reverse sensors front and rear don't work, nothing clicking so I'm thinking it's the module, any ways of checking before I buy one?

Doubt its the module at fault

Usually a fault in either the front or rear sensors or wiring will cause the whole lot to go into fault mode.

Are you getting any noise when you select reverse gear ?

Hi, yes I get a beep and the light flashes, I've tried searching and couldn't find much. I don't get any ticking from any of the sensors

That shows there's a fault

If you listen very carefully you should definitely hear a ticking noise from the sensors (it's very quiet)
Make sure the ignition is on with car in reverse so the sensors are activated

The one that doesn't make the noise could be at fault, but it's usually the wiring behind the bumpers that gets damaged

Usually the rear bumper causes this

I tried that and couldn't hear anything from the front or rear from any sensors...

Ellis you don't need to select reverse with the ignition on just press the button

dlsear, you need to put your location in somebody might be near you with diagnostic's.

That's a shame! I do have another issue... When I turn my heated rear window on I get static through the radio, I've heard this is common but how do u repair it?

Hi guys I know this is a really old post but just thought I'd add some closure.
This is the advice given to me by an Indy LR specialist. If you're getting no noise from the sensors (not even a quiet clicking noise.) it's a module fault. If you don't have access to LR Diagnostics (which would tell you problem straight away.) wait 10 secs after removing key from ignition disconnect both leads from battery, touch them together to remove residual current. Then reconnect battery +ve first. Wait 30 seconds the turn on ignition with nothing in range of sensors. Walk around back and see if that brings up the fault message. If it doesn't its a front sensor if it does its a rear. Oh adobe of each. Cost £175 for both to be replaced.
