reverse light switch

i have exactly the same problem i just hold the gear stick when reversing!
AND NO REVERSE LIGHTS ARE NOT M.O.T TESTABLE! used to be a tester!
 
yes if reverse lights don't work it fail but he might pass it when he hold the stick etc but to get to it u need to crawl under and by gearbox at the top there is 2 wires plugged into the switch take them off and slight underadjust the nut out and then screw the swith further in and then tighten the tighter nut and plug the the two wires back in and sorted.
 
Goonarmy I have to apologise I wil have to bring this up with my mot tester cos he failed mine on brakes and reverse lights! and reading the mot manual and yes u are right reverse lights are not included the mot I apoloisge a pint of beer is on order for u I soon sorted mine out when I replace the light and changed the dics and pads sorry

Hehe, no worries! Nobody knows everything-and most on here (inc me) know the square route of faff all!Ill take that pint tho- i likes pints as much as ratty like chippies!
 
Thanks a lot to the biglad, I was gonna ask how to do this as mine stopped working a while ago. Followed his destructions::smash: and was done in about 40 mins.
