Rev Counter

Hi all.

Had a new alternator fitted at the weekend. All hunky dory except that now the rev counter does'nt work!! Any connection?.......................or lack of it!!

The rev counter is run form the alternator. There is a third wire marked W on the alternator, this runs the rev counter. I changed minbe at the weekend to and thre were 2 black boxes that were kicking around inside the heat shield one connected to the cable in question then to another bolt, I gues to earth it.

I would make sure that all the connections have been put back correctly

did mine not long ago. its just a small spade connector on baqck of alternator (W).

althou whenh i clean my and plug it back on it last about a day b4 it starts bouncin everywere again.
