Hissing sound on acceleration, Rev counter dips on the hiss

Hello,

I am new to the site - please be gentle.

I have an old but loved 2005 Disco 3 with 213,000 miles.

Driving down lanes with the windows open I notice a kind of hissing noise on acceleration and the rev counter drops by around 500rpm

I recently fitted a new Intercooler pipe (the one on the left side ) as it had a huge split in it - and the associated black smoke.

I thought it could be a leaky turbo or such, does anyone recognise this - there is not a huge loss of power - but the sound just sounds wrong !!

alas there’s quite a few places I could tell u to check but personally would get a code reader plugged in as that should at least assist in narrowing the search field down
