HI Everyone - After letting my original Disc II go and enjoying an expensive time with a RR Sport SC for a while - I'm now the proud owner of a Disco II again (even though she is broken at the moment). Glad to be back! :)

Welcome back,

I thought you were looking for a 10P engine, but that is an 04 motor. Or is it for anther motor you need the engine for?

Cheers

I'm glad you said that. I have to admit to being a little confused on this now. I thought it would be a later motor but apparently DVLA is showing it has a 10P.... Shouldn't it be a 15P?

I would expect so,

As I understand it , mine is a 15P, and it is an 03MY. Maybe yours could be a 16P . But the engine was chaged around the time of the facelift.

There are a few things you can check, I would start with the actual engine number on the block. What does the V5 show?

It would mean the engine was changed if it is a 10P.

cheers

Hmmm ... the plot thickens! I know its insured - got em to recover it last week under my cover. Maybe the private Reg is causing an issue. How do i check? The original Reg is DY04 FGA.

Have a look at the links in this.
If it has changed reg numbers for a private one then it will probably make things interesting, when I first got mine it did not show up for a few weeks after it had gone back to a normal reg number.

Cheers

V5 says 16P ... number is 16P21596A ..... and confirmed Insurance too... will be having a word with DVLA

Well,

That sounds betterer......BUT I would still check the engine number itself. ... May want to change your wanted post in AG.... But finding a 16P engine may be a little more challenging. I do know a D2 breaker if you want details.

One worry is that if it was the oil pump bolt that failed , then it means I better check mine as I thought it was only the earlier ones 10P era that were at risk.

Oh well, something else to add to the list, I suppose.

Cheers
