Good evening everyone
I need some advice, I've bought a cassette/radio part no: XQD000050PMA. I'd like to fit it to my 1993 200tdi 110 CSW
defender. The car has already had an aftermarket radio from one of the previous owners. Like most defenders the wiring was bodged, so I'd like to know what connector I need and what each wire does and where it goes.
here is some pictures of the wiring.
I have bought a classic radio case from MUD uk. Also what good speakers do you recommend at around £50 mark.

Good Evening. Update time
I've just received the new/old cassette part no: XQD000050PMA
I've also bought the MUD UK classic console however the fit isn't great, its a bit long and the top lip is at the wrong angle.
Also what metal frame do I need for the radio as its a VDO/Philips.

The metal frame normally comes with the car, probably it got binned when the aftermarket unit was fitted.I would get one from a scrapped car. I swapped my unit for a CD unit and it fitted straight in the old metal cage.

Thankfully I’ve been able to source an original.
What about the wiring. I’ve bought the iso connectors and an adapter. Is it as simple as wiring each colour together or is there a differences between the iso connectors and the loom?

I do not know, you need a permanent live for the radio code, switched live, earth through the case probably ,plus speakers..You will need to check what goes to what with a meter on the loom where it connects to to the ISO connectors. Get a good wiring diagram, that should help.Sometimes manufacturers change colours.

Evening, another update.
The metal cage part no: XQU000020 doesn't fit the radio (XQD000050PMA). so I wonder what the part no for it was as the radio was fitted to the defender, Freelander and the Discovery in the early 2000s. so I'm surprised that I can't find the part number.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also the 200tdi wiring loom is a modified Defender Turbo Diesel. Which is why some wires have no purpose.

Why not take a drive to a local car audio shop and ask them for advice? I could have suggested Halfords but i wouldn't want the verbal and physical abuse from other people who made the same mistake of using them.
