right I have read the threads on here about this and its not working out!!

I have fitted the switches the plugs were there under the electric windows panel, and they all work they light up and everything.
I bought the heated seat pads from landrover 2 for each seat, base and back, I have fitted these they are slightly different to a tutorial I read on here in that the two pads plug together leaving a large 2 pin plug to connect to the switch loom.
this is where I am stuck I cannot find the plug to plug these into can anybody help
its a 2004 disco landmark and it has leather, to clarify it the heated seats plug I am looking for and nothing to do with electric seats at all

any help will be gratefully recieved as I am a bit stumped

You are looking for a brown socket/plug under each seat. Lefthand is Co255 and has a blue/grey wire this connects to the red wire to the cushion.
Right hand side is C0253 a blue/brown wire again to the red wire of the cusion.
The grounds are black.
Sorry but I cannot copy the diagram from my copy of RAVE small enough to send.

PM sent.

Right I have had a proper look today in daylight there is absolutely no plugs under the seats, the wiring is there for the switches under the electric window panel the wiring is sided in that it will only fit into the two seperate switches individually
I have found two brown plugs loose under there that are the same size as the electric heating element plugs but one is male the other female and the heating elements are both female( I can't imagine they made these sided as they are both the same) anyway the two plugs hiden in the centre console have 4 wires each going into them where as the heated elelment plugs have only two connected and if they were plugged together the would not make contact, if you know what I mean
hope this makes sense
anyone help me out or is it time to call an auto electrician:confused:

Hi Whitey

Did you ever sort this? I have just purchased the parts in need (I think) to do this to my Landmark (has manual seats - leather). Purchased and fitted the relevant switches, and i am now waiting for the heater elements to come so I can fit them (hopefully this weekend).

Am a little worried that i won't be able to find the cables under the seats now?

Anyone else have any input?

Did you make sure that you got the correct elements for the manual seats, as the ones for electric seats are different ?.

Under the seat, coming out of the carpet, you should find the brown connector that mathces the one that comes from the heater pad.

If you have the wiring in the centre consol for the switches, then you should have the brown plug under the seat.

When I did mine I found that I had to change the plus and minus pins around in the heater plug to match the feed in the plug from the car.

Any problems let me know and I can post up some pics.

Cheers.

Thanks 50 pence, I will have a proper look under the seats later today. Had a quick look last weekend but not much to see, there is a CD changer under the drivers and i am guessing an amp under the other side.

There is one cable coming out of the drivers seat which is connected? I assumed this was a sensor for the seat belt warning, but thinking about it is there a nag on a Disco?

Yes did see there were differnet pads for electric and manual so have ordered the manual ones, just hope they are in stock as they are on back order with Rimmers so I went to Britcar UK, never used them before so hope they are OK

Spent last weekend fitting heated seats - for information the wiring loom in my Landmark 03 was a bit odd, whilst the switch connectors were where they should have been the ends for the seats were missing?

Pulled the switch area apart and found the wiring loom taped togther and 2 brown connectors one was correct the other was not (i.e. male not female), loom was so taped together I ended up making a new harness between the seats and the connections.

My Landmark has manual seats and I found it a difficult job fitting the heater pads with the seats in place, very hard to get to the relevant areas and remove clips without damaging them. A lot easier to remove the seats.

Nice and toasty, just the reversing sensors to sort now I get a single long bleep and no light at the switch? Will be looking at that this weekend.
