Restricted Performance

Has anyone any idea why a Freelander 2 2013 auto model would come up with a Restricted Performance warning on the dash. Engine won’t rev beyond 2500rpm. Drops down a gear if you release the pedal slightly and you can build the speed up slowly this way.

If you do a search for "restricted performance" (top right ----/\) it'll return a number of hits for this message.

You can check for things like hoses for splits.... or just plug it into a code reader and find out what the problem is.

With a sudden onset of cold weather, check when the fuel filter was last changed.

Could be loads of things.
A diagnostic read is the first thing to do.
