if ya dont wont to do any work on the chasis for atleast 6 months, would it be a bad idea to get the hammer out as you may cause damage, or would it not matter as if its gona break, it aint doing any support anyhows

if you can put a standard hammer through it-it needs sorting asap

hahahahaha, sorry , yers falled in to the , "oh it looks ok, prob only needs a lick of paint and a rub down"
yer might be right, but are you restoring a 90 or just getting it on the road quick so yer can drive it !
both are ok, just if yer start it costs a ****in fortune, trust me, once yer rip somethin apart and think, ah thems bearings are shot, oh so is the bush, and the ........ oh **** , yer order all yer bits and spend weekend after weekend stripping it in the ****in rain and cold, covered in ****e,

me self ... ah ****in love it :) , and wouldnt do awt else, but if yer lookin fer a quick fix / tidy up , a landrovers not the thing to buy !

yeah, on a full rebuild, every nut and bolt. id rather do things now , its easier than in 5k to rip it to bits again to replace a 20p part that yer were too tight / lazy to do 6 months ago ;)

yeah i want it on the road quick but im in no hurry, but i also want to restore it properly. i dont like half assing things hahaha

the inside is completley fine to be honest i was happy. my mate was guttered when he seen it

im starting a landscape gardening business and the defender come with a massive trailer and all for 300 english pounds. so its not just going to be my toy its also going to be a tool.
it has loads more extras as well so ive made a profit no matter what. but i realy intend on keeping the defender

atb
