I have a td5 discovery that has had some real issues with temperamental indicators/hazards, lights, immobiliser, door locks, etc... Started off with a few bits and bobs going wrong and has now gradually got worse to the point now I have a flashing odometer showing the clocks and BCU are now out of sync.

We changed the under steering wheel fusebox with a brand new Land Rover one I got on sale or return (£288!) and that did not solve the problem.

I've been told the next thing to try is the BCU behind the glovebox. So I've removed it, opened it up and it was dry and clean but obviously that doesn't suggest a chip hasn't broken down??

If I buy a second hand BCM - does anyone know the reprogramming procedure? I have hawk eye and nano com so i'm sure nano com will do it.... just need to know what to program and in what order.

If this doesn't solve it then I'll be annoyed! :fighting:

Thanks!

I'm interested in this topic too. Does anyone know if it's been resolved anywhere else?
I'm considering purchase of an older td5 Discovery with an intermittent immobiliser – don't know if it's worth taking the plunge!
Thanks!

Maybe starting a new post after introducing yourself...LOL . In which you explain the problems you are having specifically may be better than continuing a 3 Year old post that had no answers.

Cheers
