Hi,

'Fraid I'm asking for advice again!!

I'm fitting a new passenger-side mirror glass soon (when it arrives!) and wondered if there were any handy bits of advice that anyone who's already done this could offer?

I have eleccy adjust/heated mirrors (not power folding ones, tho') and presume I just 'pop' the old glass out and 'snap' the new one in?

Anyone done this before?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

James

Hmmmmmm..... Thanks!

Anyway - managed to find an answer on another forum. Just in case you're interested, here's the official solution given.

Replacing the mirror glass

1. Press the outer end of the glass inwards to its full extent.
2. Insert the fingers under the inner end of the glass and pull outwards until the glass is released from its two retaining clips.
3. Disconnect the two demister leads attached to the back of the glass unit.
4. To replace the glass, locate the inner end of the glass in the retaining clip of the housing first.
5. Carefully press the outer end of the glass inwards until it securely locates in the front retaining clip.
6. Reset the fine adjustment as required.

Thanks!
James
