I have a split on the seam of my fuel tank in my 1997 110. So need to replace it. Have done the search bit and seen some pics by Buster and it looks fairly straight forward, tow bar off etc. Dont over tighten seals..
Had another look tonight at the tank and working out how to tackle it and did a google.
Do I really need to remove the rear tail pipe exhaust to get at the 'sender unit' or what ever is going in to the left side of the tank? Just had a new tail pipe fitted.
I have my eye on a tank on ebay LANDROVER DEFENDER 110 - RANGE ROVER CLASSIC FUEL TANK on eBay (end time 12-Sep-10 17:58:07 BST) with the seals and cradle/stone chip guard. Will make an offer of £10 less.... anyone know of a better deal?
