Hey All,

As the subject says I need to replace the body mount brackets (at least I think that is what they are called) see photos below.

I am new to all of this!! The chassis itself is actually pretty sound but these brackets and the boot floor will need replaced.

I have a few questions -

has anyone here replaced these brackets themselves?

Can these be replaced without removing the body completely, can the body be jacked up at that particular point or wedged up?

Is it just a matter of cutting away the old bracket and welding in the new one?

Is it a specialist weld job or could an amateur do it? (Got this disco as a project and trying to do everything myself)

Thanks

Body mounts are readily available off the shelf and it's not a terrible job to replace them.

I've done a bit on mine.
