Replacing a wheelbox for front wiper!

My passenger side wiper has been playing up for a while and stops well short of where it should on the windscreen (about half way up to vertical), I've fiddled around for a while with the splines on the spindle and have managed to get it better several times but now it's totally broke the gubbings inside the wheelbox and I can spin the wiper round and round. I can see from inside through the dash that something in the wheelbox is turning in tandem with the drivers side wiper but the linkage between the wheel type thing in wheelbox and wiper arm on the spindle is totally broke. My question is this, I can see that you can just buy the wheelbox so is it straight forward to take off and fit a new one to the rest of the wiper assembly behind the dash and if so does anyone have any hints, tips or pics of any previous carried out. Nae wurries

Hi, a quick question I have just seen your answer to this and your very helpful pictures think your working on a 300, I have a Td5 and the wheel box doesn't come out past front of dash, just wondering if you had any hints, as my shaft from wheel box is square through bulkhead so can't rotate to try and get better angle for removal.

any one have an idea where i can get 2 replacement wiper boxes from? mine are ceased so ive removed them. dash is out ...
