I just replaced the rear air bags with new Dunlops and the whole fitting went very well.

Both bags inflated perfectly and its all lovely jubley.

But I did the spray bubble test and on one rear/ red pipe/ there are tiny bubbles forming where the pipe connects to the spring.

Seems to be bubbling on the outer edge of the collet.

Do I need to remove the pipe and re insert it to see if it will seal correctly.

I did give them a clean, only with some spit.

Yep pull it out (the pipe that is) and cut a very small amount off the end of the pipe, put a little chamfer on the pipe end with a pencil sharpner as recomended in RAVE and reinsert, I used a solution ow washing up liquid and water on mine to make insertion easier.

Be aware that some air pipes have little raised collars on them about 25mm from the end, if you have these make sure you don't cut too much off or the pipe will not go back in. ( See An Idiots guide to airbag repalcemet for photo's of the collars):D

Ok cool, I will have a look on Rave at work tomorrow.

I did notice the raised part on the pipe so far up.

How much do you remove from the pipe, like 5mm ish?

If the worst came to it, I could get a straight joint and extra pipe I suppose.

Removed pipe, trimmed 5mm off, put chamfer on edge, lubed it up and slapped it in.

Job done, no leaks.

Also put front springs on, no leaks.

What a piece of **** air bags are to install.

i keep meaning to get round to chaging a couple of mine... just my luck mine'll be a bitch :D

I ordered a full set of new clips, but they were not needed.

The rears had no rust on at all.

The fronts had a tiny amount on, wire brush on them and removed it, then they went back in just fine.

The 4 top clips on the front were again, just fine.

So I have a full set if anyboudy wants them for £8 in delivery, just pm me.
