Hi guys

Shortly after buying my 1988 90 2.5td ( defender 200tdi ) early last year i have had issues with my power steer pump ( keeps coming loose ) anyway i investigated it a few months back and found that sometime in the tdi engines past some twonk has damaged the timing case where the power steer pump bracket bolts onto, one hole is stripped and the other is smashed off

so as my son is about to get his car back on the road this week it will free up the 90 so i can start getting some jobs done on it and one of them is this one so plan to either drill and tap the holes out to 10MM but not sure yet wether to fit studs or fit bolts ( locktite'd in ) of course, what do you think

Going form memory I dont think the Def tdi pump mount bracket bolts to the timing chest, but the disco tdi does.
Disco timing case freely available for sensible money
