renault clio, help!

I'm hoping someone can help me with a non landy related problem, brought one of my many children a 1999 renault clio as her first car and it was all going well until a couple of days ago, it would appear that the immobiliser is not recognising the key every time i try and start the car, it has the same problem when i use the spare key, so i'm assuming its not the keys, iv'e tried various ways to cure it, but nothing works. looking on the good old interweby thingy i can find several companies selling bypass boxes, anybody know whats in the box or any way to disable the immobiliser permanently? :(:(:(:(

Burn it. Had my fill with Renaults.Get her a Toyota Yaris.
 
I would never have brought it in the first place, but there where women involved in the whole process! and i quote "its a lovely colour" that's the joys of living in a petticoat parliament at my house!
 
we had this situation once ...... she wanted a golf , she had seen one she liked.

I couldnt find fault with it when we viewed , it was mint , had FSH and branded parts used for service and repair - full genuine exhaust /5 new hankook optimo 4 tires and recently refurbed wheels

cue - needed new light units at the front for its first MOT as the "hid"factory option wasnt legal , and the rear brake light had leaked.

Then the steering rack failed

then the waterpump failed as my mrs was taking down the dualer. - even though it had been changed recently according to history writing off the engine - as the story goes "yeah the temperature went way high , then it went way down so i thought it was ok" - yeah thatll be the hose popping off under the pressure of having no movement round the system followed by the water evacuating as steam.

fingers burnt. I dont care if you tell me you have changed XYZ if i didnt do it or cant phone the garage and confirm i dont care what you did when im buying a car off you.
