We plan to remove the two rear seats from our 110 to utilise the space. I was wondering what would be good to line the back with? We have dogs and live by the sea, so the back gets pretty messy.

Any ideas please?

Xx

you can get a rubber mat in a chequer pattern that would look ok for the sides/roof. if you want a bit of comfort for the dogs, theres a padded anti slip matting designed for horse stables/kennels etc that would work well for the floor.

The girlfriends got a horse so I'm seriously considering the stable matting for the floor in the back of my 90. Its fecking heavy stuff though (about an inch thick of really dense rubber) so I'm prob going with cheap carpet over ply for the panelled sides maybe with some sound proofing in behind and either carpet or thinner rubber for the wheel wells.

Just done mine and I used some laminate floor under foam, about 2mm closed cell topped with a 12mm stable mat. Blooming great! Cuts down loads of road rumble and dead easy to clean with two messy kids and a dog.

Cool, didnt know you got thinner stable matting coz all the stuff I've found up here is the really thick stuff!

Is that thinner stuff fairly easy to get a hold of online?

I got thin stable mat from Mole Valley Farmers. About £16 for an 8x4 sheet

Cheers, I'll have a look then coz that'd be ideal for what I'd need anway (+ if the girlfriends nice to me I might even get some extra for the walls in the horses stable...)

Anything with a checker plate pattern is not much good for muddy dogs as its hard to clean because hairs cling in my experience. Even smooth rubber such as stable matting gives enough grip for muddy paws and is easy to drag out and hose down. I would also silicone the strip where the floor meets the rear door as it catches muck under it.

I've got laminate flooring in the 110 and stable matting in the slitty. Matting better where tools might roll about and such....but laminate easier to clean. :)
