Removing radio rear connector help

Hi
I’m trying to remove the rear connector off my old radio cassette it came off a defender but early freelander same too, the black outer slides up but retained by 4 lugs on the radio as shown on replacement ( thanks Isobel) but seems solid

Any ideas next step

Hi Steve, once you have slide up the outer frame you have to put a screwdriver or similar in the large gap between the frame and the plug and lever it quite hard to get the locating lugs to release. It can be a knuckle remover..

It worked yeee, that was brutal
Previously I wired the orange wire (illum) thinking that was the display , but it’s actually to dim the panel if headlights on , so I might omit this
