removing no4 injector

Call me daft but how the hell do you get the no4 injector out on a p38 diesel without damageing the wire? Or do i need a custom tool? If i do were can i get it
Anyone near leeds got one or know how to get them out and fancy a few beer vouchers?

Not taken one of those out for what seems like years ! I have a deep socket that I cut a window into.feed the wire out through the window then use the socket normally.

+1, ps don't break the wire its the most expensive injector

screws out easy enough, be sure to put some anti-sieze on the threads before reassembly.

There is another tool, LRT-12-117 which makes undoing the injector pipe unions a bit easier, but from memory I think you can get by with a spanner and some skint knuckles.

IIRC the hassle was in getting the pipes off the FIP to get the pipes enough out of the way to remove the injectors.
