Removing heater panel, with a hammer :)

Bulb has gone behind heater control panel. Nothing in the Haynes about removing it and an old thread in here said the three knobs pull off, I can't get the fecking things off!! Pic below if anyone can help

Remove the ashtray, coin holder and drinks holder by removing the three screws either side behind the ashtray and coin holder. Then the clock and bottons to right can pop out, but I think you can still push on the tabs either side of the heater control panel to push it out without clock etc out. It's a while since I removed one but sure thats how.

The knobs do just pull off. what I done was got a small screw driver and put it under the side with the white dash and just leverd off use some card to protect the plastic, once out the screws will be revelled

Use a pair of pliers with a piece of cloth in the jaws (to protect the plastic knobs) and just pull them off.

You don't need to remove coin holders, clock or switches unless you are wanting to remove the entire console which is another question entirely and is answered 'on the other side' by this....The Definitive Alarm Spider Post - Land Rover Technical Archive - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum it's a very good guide that will help you

Superb answers cheers Gents. Only looking to replace bulb so knobs off it is. Anyone know which bulbs to buy before I take it all off??
