Removing bolts or not!

Hi,
I've just prepared the back of the chassis (bumper) for painting and got 10 new nuts and bolts to replace the rusty ones that bolt it to the body. Probably a stupid question, but if I take the 10 bolts out will the body sort of fall onto the chassis? I've ground 2 of them off, but now I'm thinking better safe than sorry.

no, the body tub braces support it underneath, 4 of them if its a 110 & a fifth up by the rear body crossmember...the nuts on the tub above the crossmember are captive plate type that rivet to the tub...otherwise the 2 centre most fixing points , you cant access the nuts unless you drop the tank...i assume by bumper you mean rear crossmember?

Change them out one at a time if you are worried.
