Hi All,

I need to get a new remote fob for my disco 2, as my open button is a bit knackered, have soldered to keep it going but the meain stealers want £140 to re-do, does this have to be done at a main dealers as the cost for the part was only about £30 rest was 'labour' :)
 
I bought a second hand fob and a new key blank from the bay of evil, had the key cut at the local key shop and the fob re-programmed by an independent LR garage.

Probably cost me about £50 all in. Took a while to get all the bits together but a lot cheaper than a main stealer.

Can you get the old blade out the key fob without destroying it.?
