Hi guys, Anybody put a tuning box in or had remap in a L322 TD6? Which is best system to have? Am really chuffed with my 2002 TD6. Get 25 MPG at the moment (town and long distance mixed) but would like to get a bit more oomph. have heard of DTS - anyone got any better experiences?

I had a tunit box on my last TD6 and was very impressed, the power improvement wasn't huge but.... my mpg went up from around 22 to 26 which is around a 20 percent improvement in my book. The overall drive of the car was massively improved and you weren't as concious of the huge weight when driving uphill

I've just got another TD6 and to be honest I am at a bit of a cross roads as to fit another box or have it remapped properly like my last car (an Audi A4 Avant 2.0 TFSI Quattro....phewww that tired me outsay that:D). I had the audi remapped by a widely regarded professional in lancashire and the results were just phenominal. It was taken from 200 or so bhp up to 260 and went like sh1t off a stick, plus again mpg was up when not thrashing it.

The thing is, its not as easy to remove a remap as a box and woe betide if any issues crop up with the drivetrain or engine of the car you can't simply turn the power down. For that reason I think I would plump for another plug in box from a respected manufacturer on the range rover as ultimate performance isnt the reason for buying one of these babies.

The Tunits are dear though for what they are, I think my last one was £300 with a very good discount and they generally retail for £450 or more.
