Hi
Can anyone advise for someone for the above around central scotland? i have called several local companies via the old yellow pages routine the general answer is we dont do that type of landrover engines ( so why advertise "we do landrovers"). one small place were keen but when i asked about the fuel timing etc i got a bit of a glazed look and would rather have it set up right first time.
Cheers

Where have you asked so far? I've mentioned them before but its always worthwhile giving Gemm 4x4 in falkirk a ring. They do purely landys and ones of all ages so they may be able to help you out

I'm not one bit surprised as you have no idea what yer talking about. :D:D:D

When you get a short or a full engine rebuild you have to fit all the other bits that makes it work, or get someone to do it for you. ;)

Cheers all

Wolf thanks i'll give them a bell, Soloby yeah the description of what i was looking for wasn't the best, and yes james i agree don't think it would be to big a job its just getting workshop space tooling etc organised we're in the process of selling our place to move so it would be easier at the moment to get someone to do it if its not costed through the roof.

Not sure whether you have purchased an engine or are looking to. If not look at Withams Auctions this will be cheaper than paying someone to re build your engine and fit it. (buying recon 2.5 n/a engine).
