hi, I have an X reg defender td5. After Reading other posts I have already changed the turbo actuator as at 55mph the engine is screaming and will only push to 65mph but changing the actuator made little to no difference. Just wondering if anyone has an idea on what else it could be? Thanks

Hello!

You've stumbled across Landy Zone! Now you've introduced yourself, have a look on the main forum menu page and have a nosy in the regional landyzoners section. You'll be able to see which members of the forum live near you, which may come in useful if you want a fellow head scratcher when trying to decide on what size tyres to fit to your landy, or pin pointing where that rattle is coming from;) If you're really lucky, you may have regional meet ups or laning days you can get involved with!

Go and say hello!!!!! :D

Hi,. Brand new to the forum. I've just got my first landy! A 110 defender special vehicle. Ex BT. Hoping to find lots of help and tips on keeping it running for ever.

Hi hi, joining since this page has helped with a battle with the reverse on our (new to us) 1983 Defender 110. Looking forward to tips for when the next issue crops up, would much appreciate any tips on how to lower insurance costs as I'm only 20 and my partner has 0 no claims.

Welcome to LZ. :)

That will be a 1983 One Ten. Defenders were built from about 1990 on.

Quite an early one too, which engine do you have?

Insurance. Live in the right postcode, have a clean licence, an unmodified vehicle, and shop around.
Do not assume that "specialist insurers" will be the cheapest.
As they are in quite a low group, it may not be as bad as you think. But at that age, you are going to be paying over the odds for at least 5 years while you build no claims, and get older.

Hi, Just joined the forum, I am planning my first freelander, some where in the 2005/6 region and will be taking a look through some of the posts to see what to look out for. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks Chris
